Meeting Report
The Sport Compact Group headed to Victoria for the first time for the inaugural Toyo Tyres Summer Slam. The Summer Slam was round two of the Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Championship Series, with many competitors from Round 1 (The Fast Fours Jamboree at Willowbank Raceway) making the journey to accumulate points in the five round series. The venue chosen was country Victoria’s Heathcote Park Raceway, located approximately 12km from Bendigo, and around an hour and a half from Melbourne. To read more click HERE.
Drag Racing Results
Due to the entry numbers a number of Brackets were combined to bring Bracket sizes to an acceptable level.
Street Comp was a combination of the following Brackets.
- Street FWD - Toyo Tyres
- Street RWD - Turbosmart
- Street AWD - HKS by Performance Wholesale
- Front Mod - Toyo Tyres
Race Comp was a combination of the following Brackets.
- All Motor - Toyo Tyres
- Super Mod - Toyo Tyres
- Extreme - Horsepower in a Box
- ET - VPW
Series Points will be allocated to competitors in their original class relative to their finish position compared to other competitors in that same class. eg. Andrew Lampkin was the highest finishing Street RWD vehicle and will receive win points (100) point in his class even though he was Runner Up in the combined Street Comp Class.
