Toyo Tires Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series

Welcome to the Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series website. The Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series kicked off in 2006 as we entered a new chapter of Hi-Tech Drag Racing in Australia with the first fully independent, non ANDRA Drag Racing Series Australia has seen. Small Car Productions, promoters of the Jamboree and Mini-Jam events merged with the Sport Compact Group, promoters of the Sydney Compak Attak to bring you the 2006-2007 Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series.

The Sport Compact Group developed 12 NEW classes in consultation with racers, race car builders and industry stakeholders to create what we felt would better suit the Australian Sport Compact market and gave us the ability to make changes to suit this market place where needed. If the 2006/2007 was anything to go by, we made the right decision. At the end of the 2006/2007 Series we had over 130 members and World Wide recognition.

Toyo Tires were a huge support of Sport Compact in the 2006/2007 Series, with event naming rights for 3 events and presenting sponsor support of the Castrol EDGE Jamboree. In our second year we are proud to welcome Toyo Tires as our Series Title Sponsor for 2008.

With Toyo Tires support the 2008 Series, each round of the Series will be televised Australia wide on SBS, Fox Sport and overseas on MotorTV. The 2008 Series will run over 4 rounds on the East Coast of Australia.

The 2008 Toyo Tires Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series will be contested over 4 Rounds in 3 State on the East Coast of Australia.

There is basically a class to suit any street registered 4 cylinder, rotary or OHC 6 cylinder powered vehicle right through to full chassis purpose built drag cars. Racers can join the Series and share in a range of Racer Benefits including website Driver Profiles, National Records, National Championship Points, Tow Funds, Membership Card, Contingency Sponsorship Program, Series Championship Prize Purse of over $15,000 and much more.
