CODE OF CONDUCT

Purpose

The Jamboree is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all racers, teams, officials, partners, and spectators. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected at all Jamboree events across Australia.

1. General Behaviour

All participants, crew members, officials, and spectators must:

  • Conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all times.
  • Comply with all directions from event officials, security personnel, and venue/Jamboree staff.
  • Avoid any behaviour that may cause harm, offense, or disruption to others.
  • Respect event property, race facilities, and the surrounding environment.

2. Safety & Compliance

  • All competitors must comply with Sanctioning Body regulations, venue safety rules, and event procedures.
  • Protective equipment and safety gear must be worn as required.
  • Alcohol or illegal substance use is strictly prohibited for anyone participating in competition or working in restricted areas.
  • Unsafe behaviour or tampering with safety systems (track, staging lanes, barriers, etc.) will not be tolerated.

3. Respectful Conduct

  • Abusive, aggressive, discriminatory, or threatening behaviour (verbal, physical, or online) towards others will result in removal from the event and potential exclusion from future Jamboree events.
  • Harassment, intimidation, or bullying in any form is strictly prohibited.
  • Respect for diversity and inclusion is expected from all participants.

4. Social Media & Public Representation

  • Racers, crew, and teams are ambassadors of the sport and the Jamboree brand.
  • Social media posts must not include defamatory, hateful, or misleading content about Jamboree staff, officials, sponsors, or other participants.
  • Constructive feedback should be directed privately to event management.

5. Team & Pit Area Conduct

  • Pit areas must be kept safe, tidy, and accessible at all times.
  • Music and celebrations must be conducted respectfully and not interfere with others.
  • Burnouts, engine revving, or unsafe driving in the pits are strictly prohibited.
  • Alcohol consumption in pit or competition areas is not allowed.

6. Consequences for Misconduct

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Formal warning or disqualification from competition.
  • Removal from venue without refund.
  • Suspension or ban from future Jamboree events.
  • Referral to the Sanctioning Body or other relevant authorities.

7. Reporting Misconduct

Any incidents or breaches of this Code should be reported immediately to Venue Management, Jamboree Event Management or event security. Reports will be treated confidentially and investigated appropriately.

8. Acknowledgement

By entering or attending a Jamboree event, all participants and attendees agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and uphold the values of Respect, Integrity, Safety, and Sportsmanship.
