CLASSES OVERVIEW
STREET COMPACT - SC
Street Compact is a DYO (dial your own) Class for vehicles running 10.00 sec and slower. Depending on class size it may be broken into a number of ET brackets. Eg, 10.00 sec to 12.99 sec and 13.00 sec and slower. It is designed for full-bodied, street type cars regardless of body shape running front wheel drive, rear wheel drive or all wheel drive systems. Treaded or slick tyres permitted. The Street Compact Class is open to vehicles using a 3/4-cylinder or 5-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder OHC (over head cam) engine or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engines. Maximum of 2 power adders permitted. Vehicles that previously raced in Street FWD, Street RWD and Street AWD and run 10.00 sec or slower will run in this class. Click HERE for full class rules.
ALL MOTOR - AM
All Motor is run on a DYO (dial your own) system and is designed for full-bodied vehicles using normally aspirated engines with no power adders using a 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder OHC (over head cam) engine or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engine. STREET 289 - ST
Street 289 will race utilising a Heads Up Full Tree and and will race using a Chicago Shootout format and is designed for full-bodied rear wheel drive vehicles using 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder OHC (over head cam) engine or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engines. Maximum rear tyre size of 28” x 9”. Maximum of 2 power adders permitted. All vehicles must have a current ANDRA / IHRA Tech Inspection and meet ANDRA / IHRA Safety requirements for vehicles running 9.90 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the ANDRA / IHRA Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle. Modified Compact is run on a DYO (dial your own) system and is designed for full-bodied RWD, AWD and FWD sedan style vehicles using 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder OHC (over head cam) engine or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engines running 9.99 sec or quicker. FWD and AWD cars may utilize a full tube chassis; RWD full tube chassis vehicles slower than 8 seconds permitted. Maximum of 2 power adders permitted. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA or IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 9.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body. EXTREME - EX
Extreme class is run on a DYO (dial your own) system at this stage. It is designed for dragsters and altereds using a 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder or EFI 6-cylinder or EFI V8 turbo or EFI 2-rotor or EFI 3-rotor or EFI 4-rotor engines. Sedans vehicles are permitted but are limited to running an EFI V8 Turbocharged engine and must run 9.99sec or quicker. Other vehicles may be permitted at the discretion of the Jamboree. Full tube chassis permitted. Maximum of 2 power adders allowed. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA / IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 10.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body. MODIFIED 10.5 - MTF
Modified 10.5 will utilise a Heads Up Full Tree start and will race using a Chicago Shootout format for field sizes of 16 and under or elimination style for fields over 16. Tyres must be stamped 10.5 on sidewalls. Maximum rear tyre width, regardless of temperature or wear, not to exceed 11.5” for slicks. Maximum roll out of 105”. 10.5w tyres that meet the above requirements permitted. Maximum radial 255/60. A minimum qualifying ET of 9.99 sec is required to compete. It is designed for full-bodied RWD vehicles using 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder engine or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engines. Chassis limited to back half modifications. Maximum of 2 power adders permitted. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA / IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 10.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body. J275 - J275
J275 will utilise a Heads Up Pro Tree start and will race using a Chicago Shootout format for field sizes of 16 and under or elimination style for fields over 16. Tyres must be stamped 275 or less on sidewalls and be of radial construction. Must have a metric stamping. A minimum qualifying ET of 9.50 sec is required to compete. It is designed for full-bodied RWD vehicles using 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder engine or V8 engine or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engines. Chassis limited to back half modifications. Maximum of 2 power adders permitted. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA / IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 9.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body. J315 - J315
J315 will utilise a Heads Up Pro Tree start and will race using a Chicago Shootout format for field sizes of 16 and under or elimination style for fields over 16. Tyres must be stamped 315 or less on sidewalls and be of radial construction. Must have a metric stamping. A minimum qualifying ET of 9.50 sec is required to compete. It is designed for full-bodied RWD vehicles using 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder engine or 6-cylinder engine or V8 engine or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engines. Chassis limited to back half modifications. Maximum of 2 power adders permitted. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA / IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 9.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body. ** EFI IS NOT REQUIRED TO RUN THIS CLASS**. PRO COMPACT - PC
Pro Compact will race utilising a Heads Up Pro Tree and and will race using a Chicago Shootout format for field sizes of 16 to 6 or elimination style for fields over 16. It is designed for full-bodied purpose-built, Pro Stock style RWD race vehicles using 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder or 2-rotor or 3-rotor engines. Full tube chassis permitted for 4cyl or 2-rotor powered vehicles only. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA / IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 10.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body. PRO TURBO - PT
Pro Turbo will utilise a Heads Up Pro Tree start and will race using a Chicago Shootout format. It is designed for full tube chassis, full-bodied purpose-built, Pro Stock style RWD race vehicles using 4-cylinder or 5-cylinder or 6-cylinder OHC or V6 push rod or 2-rotor or 3-rotor or 4-rotor engines. Full tube chassis permitted. Maximum of 2 power adders permitted. All vehicles must have a current Tech Inspection subject to track Sanctioning Body - ANDRA / IHRA and meet Safety requirements for vehicles running 10.99 sec and quicker as a minimum and meet the Safety requirements for the performance of the vehicle based on the track Sanctioning body. FACTORY XTREME - FX
Factory Xtreme will utilise a Heads Up Pro Tree start and will race using a Random Chicago Shootout Format for field sizes from 6 to 24. This may be amended depending on the number of available vehicles and the particular event schedule. It is designed for full-bodied purpose-built, Pro Stock style, turbocharged, RWD race vehicles with minimal rule restrictions using 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder or 2-rotor or 3-rotor or 4-rotor engines. PRO MOD - PM
Pro Mod will utilise a Heads Up Pro Tree start and will race using a Seeded Chicago Shootout Format for field sizes from 6 to 24. This may be amended depending on the number of available vehicles and the particular event schedule. It is designed for full-bodied purpose-built, Pro Mod & Door Slammer style vehicles, turbocharged, Blown or Nitrous RWD race vehicles with minimal rule restrictions using V8 engines.
